Testimonials

As a vocal coach, Ranjana has helped me find my Sa, both literally and figuratively. Yes, she has helped me find the actual notes, but she has also empowered me to feel grounded and capable with music and with my own voice. My private lessons with her are so bright. We laugh and sing, sing and laugh, as she helps me give voice to the song that has always been there. Lalita, Santa Rosa, California

I love the way Ranjana teaches because it’s clear and concise but you can also sense the depth of her knowledge and practice. It’s been at the perfect level for me where it’s hard enough that I feel challenged but not presented in a way where I feel like it's going over my head. The exercises she gave us not only helped to warm up and become more settled into my voice but also helped focus my mind in a way that is so necessary for learning this kind of music. And the mantra we learned was absolutely beautiful! Puja Singh Titchkosky, Los Angeles

Ranjana is really great at creating a comfortable environment in which to sing and learn, which has made the lessons both enjoyable and productive.

I absolutely loved the last workshop I did with Ranjana - we learned a breathtaking mantra that has been stuck in my mind for weeks since. And as always Ranjana teaches in such a way that - no matter your level of experience - you come away both inspired and having learned a lot. Juhi Bansal, Los Angeles

Ranjana Ghatak’s courses make the complex tradition of Hindustani vocal accessible to all. Beginners can dive in without being overwhelmed, and more experienced students will find something new. She has a knack for explaining things clearly, which is a very helpful skill when dealing with such an intricate music system.

The lessons are approachable and fun, and the beauty of the ancient rags come alive in Ranjana’s melodious voice.'

Wendy Lewis, London
