Arnolfini Gallery, Bristol Performance with Jason Singh and Liz Hanks

A durational sound performance exploring contemplation of the internal space.

By Jason Singh in collaboration with Liz Hanks and Ranjana Ghatak.

Three musicians each with their own unique performative and listening practices will come together to create a durational immersive performance of live soundscapes inspired by Indian ragas, nature, repetition, minimalism and contemplation.

Using a combination of voice, cello, harmonium and electronics to generate and create live immersive soundscapes, the performance will also be an open space allowing audiences to enter, sit, move and leave freely.

The focus of this performance is on sound to help facilitate a unique contemplative experience.

This performance will bring people together to experience an interpretative message about the internal journey of the mind towards obtaining peace.

Co-commissioned by Without Shape Without Form (WSWF) and Asian Arts Agency.
